Limited Lifetime Door Parts Warranty

In the event that an interior door mechanism of a door purchased from Metro Auto Recyclers fails we will replace the affected part. Labor costs are not included.

Limited Lifetime Sheet Metal Parts Warranty

Regarding sheet metal purchased from Metro Auto Recyclers, if such sheet metal was prepared, painted and protected following manufacturer specifications, rusts, Metro Auto Recyclers will replace the affected body panel, or cover the cost of the repair, not to exceed the cost of the original panel.

Extended Warranties

Extended warranties are available on most products sold by Metro Auto Recyclers. By taking advantage of extended warranties you have the ability to protect your purchase for a longer period of time. As a shop owner, you have an additional sales tool. The extended warranties offer your customers additional peace of mind in using quality used parts.

12 Month Parts Only: Metro Auto Recyclers will replace the part if the part fails within 12 months

12 Month Parts and Labor: Metro Auto Recyclers will replace the part and pay labor to replace the part in line with standards set by Mitchell's repair guide.

90 Day Limited Mechanical Parts Warranty

Metro Auto Recyclers Standard Warranty protects your purchase for 90 days against mechanical product failure due to defect. At the option of Metro Auto Recyclers, we will repair, replace or refund the purchase price of the part in the event of such failure. Metro Auto Recyclers reserves sole discretion in replacing failed parts with equal-to or greater-than original mileage parts.

Mechanical Parts Warranty excludes breakdowns caused by non-covered components, improper installation, failure to clear computer codes, defective workmanship, usage for which the part was not intended and/or improper maintenance (e.g. using the incorrect types and levels of fluids and lubricants as outlined in the vehicles "Owners Manual").

All Warranties are Null and Void if:

The Metro Auto Recyclers "Required Installation Procedures Tag" is not complied with upon installation.

Installed in an application for which the vehicle manufacturer did not intend or is used for racing, other competition or off-road recreational purposes.

Failure is caused by abuse, misuse, or modifications.

​

Failure is caused by towing a trailer or any other vehicle unless your vehicle is equipped for this purpose as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.

​

The part fails or becomes defective due to the vehicle being involved in a collision.

Product is installed or operated outside the United States.

​

The installed heat tab center is melted or removed.

The part is sold "As Is" as indicated on the front of the invoice.

​

The vehicle is not serviced at proper intervals, or fuel/oil/coolant is not used in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's specifications.

​

Failure is caused by or related to a collision, fire, theft, vandalism, riot, explosion, lightning, earthquake, windstorm, hail, water, freezing or flood. (Exceptions may apply when an extended warranty is purchased).

Terms and Conditions

Inception of warranty period begins from the original date of purchase as indicated on the original invoice.

Lifetime warranties extend for as long as the original purchaser owns the vehicle, and must be accompanied by the original receipt.

Prior to any work being performed, the approval for repairs or replacements must be approved by Metro Auto Recyclers.

We reserve the right to inspect any product prior to replacement.

Metro Auto Recyclers requires its review of proof of scheduled maintenance prior to approving any repair work. Maintenance receipts are required.

All engines and transmissions are shipped with a "Required Installation Procedures Tag". Receipts for all parts used that are described as required to be replaced prior to installation must be furnished upon request.

​

The part sold may have accessories or extra parts that are attached that are not covered under the warranty and must be switched or removed to fulfill proper installation requirements Engine warranties are limited to defects in the block, heads, pistons, crankshafts, camshafts, rockers and oil pumps. Parts such as sensors, cables switches, electronics, hoses, belts, water pumps and manifolds are some examples that are deemed to be Accessories or Extra Parts.

Timing belts, water pump, thermostat, spark plugs, fluids and seals are routine maintenance items and should be replaced at the time of installation and at the vehicle manufacturer's recommended service intervals.

​

Metro Auto Recyclers removes all fluids from the products we sell.It is the customer's responsibility to fill all components with appropriate fluids or lubricants or antifreeze as described by the manufacturers specifications. Claims related to the overheating and/or improper lubrication of the engine or its components are not covered by warranty. All filters must also be replaced with new filters as approved by the vehicle manufacturer.

Replacement of the transmission oil cooler or radiator, flushing of the transmission oil cooling lines, filling of differential, and adjusting shifter mechanisms, replacement of filters, seals and pan gaskets are required when purchasing a transmission. Additionally, computer codes need be reset or replaced as necessary upon installation of a transmission.

Metro Auto Recyclers must approve labor estimates prior to commencement of repair.

The original invoice must accompany all returns.

No warranty is transferable.

​

The year and model of the vehicle or part printed on an invoice is within a range of interchangeability. The part supplied to you may not necessarily be the exact model and year as the part or vehicle that has been provided.

Glass is not covered under any warranty.

​

Freight costs or similar damages are not covered by the warranty.

Metro Auto Recyclers is not responsible for injury or damages during, or as a result of, the installation of our product.

Verification that the cooling and electrical systems are operating properly must be checked upon the installation of products that can be affected by those systems.

​

Tie rod ends, ball joints, and bushings related to steering and suspension components are not covered by our warranty and should be inspected and replaced as needed.

In the Event of Failure:

Important Notices

For a recycled airbag to operate properly, a qualified installer must install the recycled airbag in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's specifications. All recycled airbags are sold "As Is." Vehicle passengers are subjected to risks of serious injury or death if a recycled airbag is installed incorrectly. The purchaser of a recycled airbag assumes all risks of damages or injuries, including death, which may arise as a result of the improper installation or use of a recycled airbag. Metro Auto Recyclers makes absolutely NO warranty, express or implied, as to the fitness for a general or particular purpose or of merchantability in connection with any sale of recycled airbags. Metro Auto Recyclers makes no claim that recycled airbags are tested or meet any safety standards. The installer of a recycled airbag must test whether the recycled airbag will function properly.

VIN Number Requirements: If any part sold has a Vehicle Identification Number on it, the installer must obtain a replacement VIN for the part to the extent necessary to comply with applicable laws.

Tires All used tires are sold "As Is." Metro Auto Recyclers makes absolutely NO warranty, expressed or implied, as to the fitness for a general or particular purpose or of merchantability in connection with any sale of used tires. Metro Auto Recyclers makes no claim that any used tire meets any safety standards. The purchaser of used tires from Metro Auto Recyclers agrees to accept all risks relating to the use of such used tires.

30-Day Return Policy

Parts returned undamaged within 30 days may be credited at management's discretion. Core charges are refundable if returned within 30 days. Returns beyond this time period may incur a 20% restocking fee.

All implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this warranty and do not cover incidental or consequential damages. Limitations or exclusions may not apply to you as some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.

The purchaser hereby understands that due to the nature of used auto parts, any liability of Metro Auto Recyclers from all causes shall be limited to the price paid for the goods sold or provided. At Metro Auto Recyclers option, if a part sold by Metro Auto Recyclers is defective, liability shall be limited to the replacement of the part or a remedy not to exceed the price paid for the part.
