In 1988, the first Metro Recycling facility opened in Blue Island Illinois. Since then, we opened two additional metal recycling facilities here in Indiana. (Learn why it pays to recycle at www.metrorecycling.net). In 1998 we expanded into the auto part recycling business with the opening of Metro Auto Recyclers in Valparaiso.

With the addition of our auto recycling facility in Indianapolis, we continued to expand our offering of quality used OEM automotive and truck parts.

Metro Auto Recyclers is a member of the Automotive Recyclers Association; Automotive Recyclers of Indiana; United Recyclers Group; Indiana Recycling Coalition, and the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries. These memberships give Metro Auto Recyclers the industry tools, resources, and access to continual training necessary to ensure that we are constantly engaged in our industry.
