Our commitment to recycling and the environment began in 1988 when the first Metro Recycling facility opened in Blue Island Illinois. Since then, two additional metal recycling facilities were opened in Indiana. In 1998 we expanded into the auto part recycling business with the opening of Metro Auto Recyclers in Valparaiso.

In 2010, Metro Auto Recyclers was recognized with the Indiana Clean Yard Gold
Status by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. This
prestigious award has been given to only seven auto recyclers in Indiana.
