About Us

In 1988 when the first Metro Recycling facility was opened in Blue Island Illinois, our commitment to the environment and recycling began. Since then, two additional metal recycling facilities were opened in Indiana. In 1998 our expansion into the auto recycling business began in Valparaiso with the opening of Metro Auto Recyclers.

With the recent addition of our auto recycling facility in Indianapolis, we continue to expand our offering of quality used OEM automotive and truck parts to our customers.

Quality control measures are in place to ensure that our customers receive the highest quality parts. Additionally, continual training and quality control goals are constant reminders to our staff that supplying quality parts is the first and main step in providing exceptional customer service.

We're also dedicated to providing our customers with the highest level of service through our knowledgeable and friendly sales staff as well as with a courteous and helpful support and delivery team. Metro Auto Recyclers is committed to providing exceptional service from beginning to end. In addition, it's our goal to supply customers with high-quality used auto and truck parts in an environmentally friendly manner.

Metro Auto Recyclers was recognized in 2010 with the Indiana Clean Yard Gold Status by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. This prestigious award has been given to only seven auto recyclers in Indiana. With this recognition, Metro Auto Recyclers has committed to go beyond what is required by environmental regulations to show that we are concerned with our community's well-being and our commitment to protect the environment.

Metro Auto Recyclers memberships with the Automotive Recyclers Association, Automotive Recyclers of Indiana, United Recyclers Group, Indiana Recycling Coalition and the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries gives us the tools and associations with other members in our industry to ensure that we are constantly engaged in our industry. These relationships also allow us to utilize the training that is offered as we fulfill our commitment to provide our customers quality used auto and truck parts.
